Day 1
Mombasa to Tsavo East
Early morning pick up from Mombasa Airport, Residence or hotel and start drive to The Tsavo East National Park. The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300 kilomtere long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species. Overnight at tented camp or lodge.
Day 2
Tsavo East to Tsavo West
Early morning game drive at Tsavo East National Park and later depart by road for Tsavo West National Park. Arrive in time for lunch then an optional afternoon game drive. From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. There are many elephants, and they are often covered in red dust, giving them an eerie appearance. The park is also known for its maneless lions and big herds of buffalo. Black rhinos have been on the comeback in Tsavo since the ’80s when they were close to being locally extinct. Overnight at Tsavo West National Park tented camp or lodge.
Day 3
Tsavo West to Mombasa
Leave for an early morning game drive at Tsavo West National Park and later depart to Mombasa with Lunch stop along the way. Your guide should have you back to your hotel, residence or the airport in the afternoon.
