For this day tour your safari guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel at 6:30am.
The tour visits the Nairobi National Park located only 7 km from the Central Business District where you and your safari guide search and maybe view rhino, lion, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, warthog, ostrich, cheetah, hippo and many more plains game.
You then proceed to the David Shedrick baby elephant orphanage, where you view baby elephant orphans during feeding time that starts from 11am to 12 noon.
You shall then enjoy lunch at the Karen Blixen coffee garden or the famous Carnivore restaurant based on your preference.
In the afternoon you shall then visit the Karen Blixen Museum to learn more on Kenya’s colonial history.
Its history dates back to 1914, during the First World War, with the arrival of Karen Blixen from Denmark. At the foot of Ngong Hills, Karen Blixen established herself as a farmer.
After her departure in 1931, the suburbs retained the commemorative home of Karen.
This is the beautiful farmhouse where Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa, lived between 1914 and 1931, until she left Kenya after a series of personal tragedies.
You shall then stop at the Giraffe Center where you will have a closer view and even feed the Rothschild’s Giraffes. You shall end the tour at the Kazuri bead center (a self-help women’s project) where you get to watch women artisans making unique bead products.
The Kazuri beads center literally supports hundreds of disadvantaged Kenyan women, by providing employment and healthcare services for them and their families.
Later your safari guide will drop you off at the Nairobi hotel or airport.
