On arrival at the airstrip you are met by your host and transfer to your camp. The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the places with the highest photographic potential in Africa and the world, with abundant elephant, buffalo, giraffe, black-maned lion and cheetah alongside the migratory wildebeest and zebra. It is also part of the Greater Serengeti Ecosystem, and it hosts the famous Wildebeests’ migration during the dry months of July to October. You will have your first game drive in this vast game reserve after lunch. Dinner and overnight at the luxury tented camp of choice
Day 2
Full Day Masai Mara
Spend full day with unlimited game drives over the golden fields and past the distinctive acacia trees adorning these plains of the Masai mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. There will be morning and afternoon game drives where you have the best opportunity of spotting the “Big Five” Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant. If by any chance you are booking this between July and Oct you might indeed have a good chance of seeing a river crossing, and can choose to spend at least one full day out in the park with picnic lunch boxes.
Day 3
Full Day Masai Mara
We continue to explore this golden savannah on our morning and afternoon photography game drives. A diverse group of animals call the Maasai Mara home, including Africa's "big five" (the African elephant, Cape buffalo, African leopard, African lion and African black rhino). Cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles, zebras, hyenas, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, more than 500 bird species and many more residents can also be found across the reserve At the northern extremity of the unique Serengeti Ecosystem, blessed with a permanent water supply, the Maasai Mara has a thriving, permanent population of plains game, augmented in the dry season by the migration of more than 3 million gnus and zebras from the vast, parched Serengeti plains. This is one of the most Spectaculars sights in the world. At sunset we will visit a section of the Mara River where we hope to see many hippos.
Day 4
Full Day Masai Mara
Sunrise and sundown are the greatest moments for game viewing in these mystic plains, a time where the soft red hues of the sun will give you an added natural richness to your photographs with the clarity of the actual African Savannah. The vast, open grasslands of the Serengeti-Mara are home to over 3 million large mammals. These include over 1.4 million wildebeest, which migrate in an enormous, straggling herd each year between the southern parts of the Serengeti to the northern part and back again. With them move other herbivores such as gazelles and zebras, also looking for the best grass. Along the way they provide food for big predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. Here we learn about and see firsthand the intricate web of dependency that binds the different species together. Each animal has adapted to its own niche and to the other animals that surrounds it. Here we see nature at its most subtle and, sometimes, most cruel as each animal struggles to survive and reproduce
