Overview

Perched atop the bluffs overlooking the lake is Lake Naivasha Country Club, a vibrant home base for visitors exploring the natural beauty of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha.

Just an hour drive from Nairobi, Naivasha is one of the gems in a necklace of Rift Valley lakes.

Perfect for both the active and leisure traveler. Lake Naivasha Country Club offers an abundance of activities to please all tastes.

The Naivasha Hotel traces its roots back to the 1930s and now owns an expansive 55-acre lot replete with sumptuous gardens in Naivasha, open lawns, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa, and, of course, shady acacia trees.

In its own slice of natural paradise, Lake Naivasha Country Club offers adventure, comfort, and helpful, friendly staff, for the vacation, conference, or wedding of your dreams.

Lake Naivasha Country Club’s old Colonial architecture, which harkens back to its 20th-century foundation as a stop on Imperial Airways’ service from Durban to London, houses an assortment of comfortable, elegant guest rooms and cottages, all with private bathrooms: 33 Standard Rooms, 11 Deluxe Rooms, 3 Executive Cottages, 2 Executive Suites, and 1 two-bedroom Presidential Cottage (a hypoallergenic room is also available for guests who require it).

The Lake Naivasha Country Club has two restaurants where your meals are served i.e. The Terrace and Flavours Restaurant.

They also have two bars, the Tavern Bar that is next door to the billiards room and the Pool Bar that serves your drinks as you lounge beside the pool.

Stop by at the Rolling Pin for hot drinks and confectionary or sample barbecued fare that is cooked to your taste in the open.

The lodge sets up an open-air counter and you can savor your dinner on the lawn.

Vegetarians will also find an adequate collection of dishes for them with prior notice.

The lodge lawns end at the lakeshore where you can take boat rides to view flamingos, fish eagles, cormorants and pelicans around the lake.

Hippos lie submerged in the swamps among the papyrus reeds with only their ears, eyes and snout showing while buffaloes might arrive for a cooling dip in the lake.
