Roads in the Masai Mara are rough enough to mix their own martinis, but these bumps don’t matter to you because you are fully comfortable inside our modern safari vehicle. Evacay Africa safari transport (for transport around the country on road safaris) is based on specially-adapted 6 seater safari minivans with pop-up roofs or 6 seater Toyota Land Cruisers (4×4). We have put a lot of thought into adapting them to the rugged African bush, the rough conditions and the bumpy roads, providing maximum comfort and at the same time ensuring the best safari experience for our guests.
The Toyota Land Cruisers (4×4) are the standard East African design customized for safaris. The vehicles used for overland road safaris have glass windows which slide and they have roof hatches which either fold over or pop-up.
The interiors of our vehicles are spacious and designed with the safari traveler in mind. Most have power points for recharging camera batteries. Pop-open roofs allow panoramic game viewing as well as protection from the sun. A cooler box provides chilled water and vehicles also carry a first aid kit and other tools to be prepared for any bump along the way.
We still operate a variety of vehicles meeting the specific needs of our travelers. For transfers, we use safari buses. We also use Toyota’s Noahs for private VIP transfers. For something really special, we can provide transfers in a Mercedes Benz or luxury 4×4.
For groups, we provide transfers in 24 passenger coaches. These are also used for shared transfers on the Kenyan coast to the many spectacular Indian Ocean resorts we serve.
All seats have seat belts and pass rigorous safety checks before each safari.
The most important part of any vehicle is the driver. Our drivers and driver-guides are well
Trained and must have extensive experience before they take our travelers on safari. Many speak a number of languages including French, Spanish, Italian, and German and of course English.
As there is limited space available in the luggage compartment, we ask all our guests to restrict their luggage to 15 kg in weight.
